About

Hi & Welcome!

My name is Linnea Sisson, and I’m a digital designer by day and an aspiring painter by night. No matter the medium of the end result, I strive to maintain a creative and honest foundation for all my projects, always starting with pen on paper and rooting it all in a commitment to authenticity.

For me, that commitment is at the center of both art and design and consequently puts the human at the center of all things.

In art, this concept manifests as how we see the world, both seen and imagined, from our human perspective. Interacting with nature whether it be through landscapes, holding a brown trout, or merely smiling down at a wildflower, our visual senses are enhanced and physical experience becomes the context we carry. These unique relationships with the created world transform those things into images that are full of colors, textures and a much deeper meaning.

In design, it ensures that the end user is always what informs decision making. Whether it’s A/B testing an on-site experience, thinking of the person that would pick up your can from the cooler, or solving the blank canvas that is branding for a small business, function and humanity always determine form.

Authenticity can carry many meanings: the trait of being genuine; an intentional and significant mode of human life; a commitment to tradition…

My hope is that the devotion to all of the above will result in a selflessly rewarding body of work that may at first seem too interdisciplinary to connect but finds a common truth in what makes us human.

Annual Adventure Posters

Every year, I make a poster of Max’s and my highlights. One day we hope to have a long hallway in our timber-framed home with all the matching posters side by side to remember all the cool things we’ve experienced!
