Seltzy

Self-indulgent and straight up good, Seltzy seeks to deliver a passion for craft beverages and environmental sustainability in each sip. I worked on the entire design of this product and brand from the cans themselves, to the website, all point of sale materials, packaging, and fun extras.

The Cans

After a long process of design changes and refinement, these are the final cans! The overall layout is simple, clean and immediately lets customers know what the paired flavor profile for each drink is.

The Website

I designed the entire Seltzy site on XD, then passed it off to a team of developers. The site includes brand messaging and tone that I helped to develop as well as all visual branding and experience navigation.

Packaging & Point of Sale Materials

Case Carton

Two Variety Pack boxes will fit in each Case Carton Tray. The placement of elements is very intentional, so that at all angles the pertinent information is being shown. For example, the long side of the tray features the Roadhouse logo and “small batch” callout because that will be covered on the box when placed here.

12 ct. Variety pack

At launch, the cans will be sold in this 12 ct. variety pack. Keeping the packaging simple and sleek like the cans, the layout is very minimal and reflects on all sides of the box. All important information appears on the bottom of the box, as requested by the client.

Floor Stacker

The Floor Stackers will appear on end caps of liquor stores that Seltzy is distributed at. Each stacker will hold a few Case Carton Trays filled with the Variety Pack boxes. The back of the stacker shows the minimal, outlined brand elements and the inside uses the color fill pattern to act as a fun discoverable element as boxes are taken away.

This is an inside view of the mailer box that will be sent to influencers and new customers to create excitement about the new product.

Card Insert

The insert includes more information about the drink, how it was made, and ways to enjoy it. The other side of the card is a black on black gloss treatment of the logo.

Glassware

Along with the 3 flavors of Seltzy, there will be a Collins glass included in the box to promote the mixology suggestion that the brand promotes.

Cooler Stickers

These stickers are meant to be placed on the cooler windows of the liquor stores that distribute Seltzy. There are three options for the client to use in rotation, each featuring the cans and brand messaging. The gray here denotes transparency.

Poster

The poster is meant to be distributed to liquor stores that carry Seltzy for them to hang in the window. The white box in the lower right corner is a space for them to write the pricing.

Coaster

The coaster is intended to be used for either the seltzer can itself or the cocktails that are referenced on each can. The design features simple line patterning, and the logo is strategically placed to still be visible with an object on top of the coaster.

Buff

Considering the use case of a buff, it was important to use a black, patterned design to keep it looking clean and stylin’.

Sunglasses

In order to keep print costs low, the sunglasses feature a 2-color design with the outline pattern and the logo.

5 Panel Hat

Along with a few other deliverables, the hat features a brand stamp including brand colors, the Teton imagery and the logo.

Process

Who knew there could be so many ways to illustrate 3 fruit pairings? I completed a multitude of design rounds and explorations for this important aspect of the can to ensure the client was happy with the final result.

Sketches

An essential part of my creative process is sketching. I can generate ideas much faster with pen and paper, and will have more options as I move into digital creation.
